WELP… the power suddenly went out here in Inman at 10:39 PM. Not sure what led to the outage, but there are 1,632 customers affected (per @DukeEnergySC @DukeEnergy).

First world frustration: power is out and the map on Duke Energy's website is undergoing maintenance, so we don't know how widespread the outage is. (They do know about the outage and said it should be restored in 4 hours... And that was 2 hours ago)

Duke Energy has announced a necessary power interruption will take place inside the Town of Lake Santeetlah beginning at 9 a.m., Wednesday, July 9. Duke will be performing upgrades on electrical equipment and the outage is expected to last around seven hours.

It has taken @DukeEnergy THREE hours to finally show up at the outage site in our area. Now additional hours tacked on for actually work. Guess we will drag out the generator smh

Report this afternoon of a power outage in the area of Cashua Ferry Road In Darlington impacting 730 homes. The cause of the outage hasn’t been confirmed just yet. Duke Energy is saying power could be restored by 3:30 this afternoon.
