apples solution to my mail app suddenly not working: reset your WHOLE iphone to factory default and erase ALL your icloud settings :D

I had around 17k emails in my inbox I sat down and unsubscribed from bunch of bullshit and removed everything before 2023, now it’s down to 2k, now I need to organize also my Photos in iCloud which is around 11k photos 🥲

forgot my alarm code for work and i went to check my notes app because i wrote it down there, and it was gone?? it’s not the first time some weird iCloud backup thing deleted my stuff

Not my usual post: Since my first iMac in 2010 I've avoided using iCloud to sync contacts & calendars: used a USB cable & synced via iTunes. New computers, new OS, new problems, with which I'm getting bored. Any reason not to break down & use iCloud to sync contacts & calendars?
