I don’t think most people realize how fragile the centralized cloud really is. A single AWS outage knocks entire swaths of the internet offline. @theblessnetwork is building an alternative. One that’s less brittle. More distributed. And harder to censor or control.

S3 has never been down for more than 5 hours in its entire existence. And that incident was 8 years ago, in just one region. It was considered one of AWS' most impactful outages of all time. (you guessed it - it was in us-east-1)
